TISCO Group’s Environmental Management

TISCO Group recognizes the importance of environmental responsibility and is dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact in both current and future business operations. This commitment aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and promotes sustainable development across economic and social sectors. We integrate environmental impact management into our operations by implementing eco-friendly processes and activities that reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, TISCO Group strive to collectively manage the environment by raising awareness and spreading knowledge on environmental conservation and proper waste management to all stakeholders, as well as continuously supporting environmental initiatives.

Enviromental Initiatives and Projects

TISCO Eco Society

TISCO Group emphasizes effective management of waste generated by our operations. In order to achieve standardized management and reduce environmental footprint while raising employee awareness, TISCO Eco Society initiative focuses on promoting three main behaviors:

  1. Carry reusable bags, such as canvas or fabric bags, instead of plastic bags to reduce waste generation.
  2. Sort recyclable waste and promote proper waste management.
  3. Separate and manage food waste in collaboration with building management, using it to make fish feed, in order to reduce landfill waste.

"We Use, We Sort" Campaign

TISCO Group promotes trash sorting among employees and provides different types of bins throughout the office building, creating value for recyclable waste by sending these materials to buyers for proper disposal or reuse.

LESS BIN Project

The project aims to enhance waste separation efficiency by halving the number of trash bins under the working desks, redirecting employees to dispose of their trash in designated areas such as the pantry. This project intends to reduce waste in the working space while also fostering an environmentally conscious workplace culture.

Reforestation Projects

The company recognizes the crucial role natural resources play in human livelihoods, directly and indirectly contributing to economic and industrial development. Nevertheless, the increasing demand for natural resources presents significant challenges to human well-being and ecosystems, leading to issues such as climate change, loss of wildlife habitat, and biodiversity decline.

With a commitment to be a part of mitigating these impacts, the company has continuously organized reforestation projects, which in 2023 have the following project details:

TISCO’s Permanent Forest Planting Project

The TISCO Permanent Forest Planting Project, located in the area of Wat Wang Wiwekaram in Sangkhla Buri District, Kanchanaburi Province, has been a collaborative effort between TISCO Group and the local community for 33 years since its inception in 1991. This project encompasses 10 land plots covering a total area over 265,600 square meters, featuring a variety of trees including teak, ironwood, and other local species. As of 2023, the planted forest area has many large trees, with 60% of the trees having trunk circumferences ranging from 51 to 100 cm. Additionally, trees with heights averaging 10 to 20 meters are prevalent, with the tallest tree reaching 30 to 40 meters in height and having a trunk circumference of 201 to 300 cm. Moreover, TISCO Group is actively collaborating with the community to plant more redwood trees, which will be utilized for future repairs of the Mon Bridge.

Annual Reforstation Activities

Furthermore, the company has organized reforestation activities in various locations throughout the year, with the concept of "Forests Survive, People Can Thrive." These initiatives aim to facilitate learning and raise awareness of forest conservation, increase local community green areas, and support the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
